After breakfast, you’ll set out on another drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in the south. This park of the Uganda Rwanda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari will highlight Uganda’s untamed natural landscape, which the world has not yet fully explored. It includes the country’s rolling hills, emerald-green carpet, breathtaking mountainside backgrounds, and many native faces strewn throughout. Enjoy every moment of the country trip by lying back and letting the gentle wind caress your face.
Arrival time for lunch and a nature walk through the villages will allow you to observe the African people and their untouched cultures firsthand. The following day, your gorilla tracking experience will start.
Get up early, eat breakfast, and then travel to the trailhead with your Uganda Rwanda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari driver. Naturally, you’ll bring your packed lunches since we don’t anticipate this to be a quick trip.
The park rangers will give you a briefing before leading you into the foggy jungles to confront your adversary. These gentle giants ignite all of your innate passion for the outdoors and transform all of your ideas about the wild animals that live in jungles all over the world. Make sure you’re prepared to be rewarded for having the fortitude to travel to Africa since this is a moment you want to remember forever. The smart guys believe you might agitate their inner selves if you stay with them for longer than an hour.
You can choose to take the Batwa trail if you still got the guts for it. The Batwa are the native tribe that occupied the jungle before it was turned into a National Park and closed off to them. Today they occupy the boundaries of the forest and showcase their cultures to visitors. In our part to support the Batwa communities, we take our visitors through some of their prepared showcases.
Retire to the lodge for the evening. We’ll be crossing the border into Rwanda the next day.
Via Cyanika border, the Uganda Rwanda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari takes a twist traversing the Rwanda territory for the good things. Covid and border restrictions may apply, be prepared to follow through with the guidelines so that you don’t get delayed.
From the border, you’ll drive into Volcanoes National Park (not too far from the border) and check out the legendary Dian Fossey’s resting home. That little lady, with a massive heart, took all the guts to protect the mountain gorillas from savages and let the world know about the treasure we had buried deep in our African jungle, so a visit to her grave is warranted, take a knee!
After that heartfelt moment, check into the lodge, have your dinner and relax the evening away. This Africa safari adventure continues tomorrow.
Option 1: Chose to stay in and enjoy the lodge’s activities like Rwanda cultural group performance, a nature walk and tales about Rwanda’s history, cultures and people.
